Well, after going to the doctor last Monday, Tim and I have learned more about the pregnant life. He does very well at remembering our newly taught material and I'm constantly telling him his brain is like a sponge. I've never met anyone to remember details like he does. We've learned about what a fundus is, as well as my fundul height, which is 25 cm. According to the nurse, we're rockin' like Elvis...ok, she really didn't say that, but I'm trying to make this more colorful than Clairee on Steel Magnolias. It makes for a more interesting read. She also measured Gabe's heartbeat on my right side...140 bpm. It's always exciting to hear your child's heartbeat. We never got to see my doctor that visit...well, we did for only a moment. She quickly departed because another patient was ready to pop like Orville Redenbacher.
Next week, I get to look forward to drinking that lovely thick, nasty stuff for my glucose test. I've been told between my 2 choices (orange and fruit punch) to go for the fruit punch. Let's hope I can keep it down. After all the stories I've heard about women up-chucking, keep your fingers crossed...
Last night, we witnessed Gabe's strength. My stomach looked like an alien was ready to burst out. It was great! When he first started kicking, punching, or head-butting, no one was looking. The whole family was watching Biggest Loser. I kept telling Tim to look, but every time he did, Gabe decided to stop. It was like going to the dealership with a problem and then your problem never rearing it's ugly head. I tried to film it on my phone, but he would never move. Austin sat next to me and watched, but nothing. He laid his hand on my stomach, but nothing. Tim told Austin to say, "bacon" (If you know Tim, you'll understand.), to get him to move. It worked! "See, that's my boy!" said Tim. After Biggest Loser finished, Tim finally saw how much Gabe was poking my gut out. Amazing!
Right before bed, I told Tim I ate an orange. I'm thinking the sugar made him more active and I said, "Gabe must really like oranges." Tim said, "...or he might not." and then the show began. He started moving like Gabe might have, making a "yucky face" and thrashing about. It was hilarious. If he would let me, I would love to make a video of it.

love the steel magnolias referrence (my fav movie)!!! looking good mama... :)
